			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s almost November and I think I&#8217;ve made enough Halloween theme bento for this year, I&#8217;d better keep some of my sketches for next year. So this coming month I will make some random theme bento until 2nd week of December, Christmas theme bento ^_^</p>
<p>I made this bento for our breakfast. This is one of my favorite breakfast menu, home-made pancake served with honey and butter, hash browns, crispy bacons, and strawberries, mmmm so yummy. I always like the balance of taste from this menu; taste of sweet, salty, and sour all in one plate.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;ve cooked this menu lots of time before, so I could managed to do all things almost together in one time, between cooking the pancake, deep fried the hash browns and pan fried the bacons until become crispy; of course it helped a lot when I have multiple stoves.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span id="more-226"></span>But while I&#8217;ve done this several times before, I didn&#8217;t make a bento for this. So in order to make a certain theme bento, I used my new Winnie the Pooh egg/pancake mold that I had in my kitchen drawer but never been used for almost two weeks. I thought that the yellow color of the pancake will make a great Pooh, but I had to cook the pancake in one side only (while usually the &#8220;correct&#8221; way is to flip the pancake so each side have the same brown color).</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The result was not that great, I made several Pooh pancakes and this one on the picture was the best from them all. I used chocolate syrup to add the details on the face and put the others (hash brown, crispy bacon, strawberries, broccoli) into the box.</p>
<p>Speaking of pancake, in Indonesia, we have this &#8220;pancake&#8221; variation like the way I made my pooh pancakes, it&#8217;s called <em>martabak manis</em>, which is a very popular evening snack. Their main batter ingredients are basically the same with pancake (with some slight adjustment), but the real difference is they are made in a large portion to make very thick &#8220;pancake&#8221;, in a large and very thick round pan (10 inches or 25 cm) with very high heat gas cooker. And after the outer side is become bubbly with nice golden yellow color, we removed it from the pan and we can add some sweet toppings of choice (the most popular are chocolate sprinkles, peanuts, sesame seeds, shredded cheese, corn, bananas) and then we fold the martabak into half circle (from full circle shape) and cut it into several chunky pieces.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s been three days since my last post, I really could not find a right time to do some posting. I really admire people who can post their stuff every day, it really require certain discipline into it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;">Today I wanted to try a recipe that I&#8217;ve written on my note about a month ago, deep fried bacon with cheese roll. It&#8217;s very easy to cook. Cut a cheese bar into a few sticks shape, then rolled a bacon with the cheese stick on the middle. Then batter the rolled bacon (in order) with flour, egg, and lastly panko breadcrumbs. Deep fried them until golden brown. I waited until they cooled off and then cut them so we could see the bacon and melted cheese.</p>

<p>I still had beaten egg remain so I added more eggs to make tamagoyaki. But somehow I put them in the sushi bamboo mat too long that its outer part became jagged, the looked was unique but I didn&#8217;t intent that.</p>
<p><span id="more-146"></span>I bought this new bento box from Food Hall. I wanted a large 3:4 bento box so I can fit all the foods in one box instead of 2 separate boxes. So this new box was perfect for me. The light blue color also great since I&#8217;ve never had one before.</p>
<p>The two teddy onigiri were made using the teddy rice mold, the brown one made with  white rice mixed with soy sauce and tomato sauce. It turned out that the taste was quite unusual, next time I must use other method to make a brown onigiri.</p>
<p>As for the filling, I just used a boiled broccoli and cherry tomatoes since I had no other vegetables in the fridge ^_^</p>
