I’ve made Spongebob bento last year but someone said to me that I forgot his pants, so this time I intend to make it right.
I rarely watch the Spongebob cartoon but I know that it’s a very popular character since I’ve seen so many apparel using the character, even for adult women clothes too which I just saw last week.
As for the character itself, I liked its simple design and the color which quite perfect for bento material. The smiling face also very appealing to brighten your day.
Since it’s hard to make the good bright yellow pasta sheets without using food coloring, I used the more usual bento material for the yellow. The base for Spongebob was very easy, I used yellow egg sheet and cut it into rectangle and use two different size of straws to make the holes.
For the white parts, I used white egg sheet while the rest of the colors (red, brown, and blue) were cut from colored pasta sheets.
The final result was quite good, I think this is my favorite compared to the other bento I made for this project.
