Dora the Explorer bento
Start from today, I will post a series of Dora the Explorer and her friends bento.
As you all probably know, Dora is a young Latina girl who embarks on a trip in every episode of her TV show in order to find something or help somebody. During the show she will ask the viewers at home to help her find new ways to reach places with the help of Map. She also teaches viewers Spanish, introducing them to short words and phrases.
In this bento, I used colored pasta sheet to create Dora. Total of 6 (six) colored pasta sheets were use; brown for the base, hair, nose, and eyeballs; orange for the body; pink for the shirt; blue for her bag; white for the eye color; and red for the mouth.
The bento filling is grilled unagi (my favorite), two slices of tamagoyaki under the unagi, flower shaped sausages, broccoli chunks, corn, and heart shaped strawberries.

Aw, looks so great! You are really talented! How do you store the pasta sheets? Or do you make the dough fresh every time?
The heart shaped strawberries are cute
Thanks for the comment Lil’chan ^_^
The pasta sheets can be stored in fridge for about a month so you can store several colors at once and use them later.
But for the bento order for kids, I always make fresh dough a couple of days before.
*Sigh* still can’t imagine how you got excellent idea to create this bento…
Thanks for visiting Desi, actually most of the ideas are coming from cartoon, comic and video games characters so it’s very easy
